COMPANY HISTORY

First Blackhawk Financial, founded by Arthur I. Appleton, Jr., and Gregory F. Griffin in 1992, is a full service mortgage company.  The company’s Private Lending Division provides for loan origination and placement of investor funds into trust deeds secured by California real estate.  Nearly $100,000,000 has been placed in short-term private bridge financing by First Blackhawk over the past eight years.

First Blackhawk’ Conventional Lending Division has grown substantially through the years.  Loan volume handled had grown to over one-half billion dollars annually.  This growth is due primarily to the dedication of a highly motivated, experienced and professional team of lending agents within the company.

Art and Greg have a combined lending, brokerage and investment background of over 50 years.  As “hands-on” working partners, they are motivated by a desire and sense of responsibility to provide optimum service to their investors, clients and borrowers.  The company’s motto “Integrity in Mortgage Banking” is more than just words - it is an unconditional commitment at First Blackhawk Financial.
